The Company is headquartered in Arlington, Texas, in the heart of the Dallas/Ft. Worth 'Metroplex'. The Corporate Headquarters is located within walking distance to the iconic AT&T Stadium, home of the 5-time Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys, and The Ballpark in Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers baseball club. DFW Airport is also nearby. Our fulfillment center is located in Lancaster, Texas.

As a Petmate Fulfillment Cycle Counter (using Power Equipment / Forklifts), you will be given the opportunity to create and provide excellent customer service within the fulfillment center. To be successful, the candidate must be able to "get things done" and effectively perform warehousing and fulfillment activities including performing cycle counts by location, reconcile counts and enter any needed adjustments in Oracle, complete cycle counts requests from other Petmate departments, investigate causes of inventory discrepancies, order pulling, stocking, truck loading/unloading, receiving, cycle counting, packing or shipping. The employee is expected to perform these tasks at posted standards for the Fulfillment Center, for productivity for each function and to perform the task with a high degree of accuracy and quality. POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for effectively performing warehousing and fulfillment activities including:
  • Cycle Counting
  • Enter adjustments as needed into Oracle
  • Order pulling
  • Stocking
  • Truck loading/unloading
  • Receiving
  • Picking & Packing
  • Shipping

The employee is expected to perform these tasks at posted standards for the Fulfillment Center, for productivity for each function and to perform the task with a high degree of accuracy and quality. The Fulfillment Center Worker will be guided by the Company's Vision statement, policies and procedures

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Utilize the Company Vision statement as the primary guide for decision making. Support and encourage behavior that reflects the term "customer" refers to dealers, suppliers, and all company employees.


  1. Work within Petmate's safety policies and safety programs in a uniform and consistent manner so that employee injuries and illnesses can be prevented and compliance with federal, state and local regulations can be achieved.
  2. Follow proper lifting techniques including team lifting when items are too heavy for individual lifting.


  1. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized facility through diligent housekeeping efforts. Employees are required to assist in keeping aisles open and free of trash as well as picking up after themselves.


  1. Use computer and other devices provided in warehouse automation systems with care, report any unsafe or malice activities that could damage the automation or computer systems.


  1. Equipment operation - Utilize only when properly trained. Depending on specific duties, employees will be required to train on and operate various types of material handling equipment.


  1. Security - every employee is considered to be a member of the fulfillment center security team and as such has responsibility for the security and integrity of the premises, equipment, inventory, and company information.


  1. Employees must be flexible in work hours available including overtime and be able to respond to varying workloads without prior notice. Report to work every day, on time, as scheduled.

EXPERIENCE

Mandatory Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience in a fulfillment center

Previous experience driving Fork lifts, Order Pickers (Cherry Picker), Reach Trucks, and/or Pallet Jacks Required

Preferred Requirements

WMS Picking Software/Gun experience

3-5 years' experience in a fulfillment center

WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in a fulfillment center environment. Noise level is usually moderate to loud, depending on the level of activity in the fulfillment center.

Reports to Fulfillment Center lead or Supervisor

The physical demands include, but are not limited to sitting, standing, walking, communicating, seeing, hearing, use of hands, and lifting.
