Job Summary:
The Tow Technician is responsible for assembling and installing various components on tow trucks, including electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components. This position works in a fast-paced environment to ensure that bucket trucks are assembled efficiently and effectively, while meeting customer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install electrical systems, including wiring, connectors, and electrical components.
- Install hydraulic systems, including hoses, pumps, and cylinders.
- Assemble and install mechanical components, including axles, suspension systems, and braking systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and install components.
- Measure and cut materials according to specifications.
- Inspect assemblies to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct quality control checks to identify defects or issues.
- Work in a team environment to meet production deadlines.
- Collaborate with other assemblers and technicians to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems.§ Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Required Competencies:
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work precisely.
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Tasks require the regular and sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work.
- Some combination of climbing and balancing to include climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- May involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).

Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as odors, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, hazardous materials, toxic agents, machinery, heavy equipment, vibrations, or traffic hazards.
