Profile of a Natick Educator

JOB GOAL: Under supervision of the Director and Assistant Director, provide administrative support to the ASAP Program, a creative, community service-oriented environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Graduate or have a G.E.D.; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Preferred Experience:
  • Two years or more of experience working in an administrative or operational role.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, refine practices for efficiency, maintain child, family, and staff confidentiality, and communicate with all stakeholders with kindness and professionalism.

Skills:
  • Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed
  • Candidates should have a passion for working with students, families, and colleagues
  • Candidates must be flexible and collaborative
  • Candidates must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, supportive environment that nurtures student growth

Alternative degrees/experience may be substituted for the above at the discretion of the Superintendent, if such a substitution brings a strong candidate forward.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB (not limited to)

  • Collect and verify timesheets for entry into payroll system.
  • Enter paper check and online tuition payments into registration and billing system.
  • Track and maintain staff requirements including professional development, mandatory training, handbook completion, and 1st Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Enter requisition requests for and place monthly and biannual supply orders. Process invoices including submission to accounts payable and A/P spreadsheet.
  • Process invoices for supply and entertainment vendors. Submit to accounts payable and enter into our tracking spreadsheet for reconciliation with MUNIS.
  • Process re-enrollment and new family registration
  • Send tuition invoices and payment due reminders
  • Process Early Release Day batch enrollment; share numbers with directors, food services and special events coordinator
  • Complete and submit Early Release attendance at the end of the month for billing
  • Track staff requirements such as professional development, mandatory trainings, 1st Aid and CPR
  • Create and distribute monthly newsletter after confirming site newsletters and calendars are ready
  • Treat all children and families with kindness and respect
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all information about program children, families and staff
  • Perform with accuracy, thoroughness, and follow-through
