LOCATION: Transportation

SALARY RANGE: $17.88 Per Hour

Monday-Friday

LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: School Year

DATE OF POSTING: August 16, 2023

Requirements:

* Must have a positive working relationship with bus driver, parents, and students with disabilities.


* Must be physically able to perform duties for students in wheelchairs or with other special needs.


* Prior experience preferred.


* CPI training is required. Training will be scheduled and provided by HHCS.

Performance Responsibilities:


* Assists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus.
* Inspects transportation list of students to prevent unauthorized travel.
* Assists young or students with disabilities in getting on and off the bus.
* Assures that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion, and safely to parent/guardian or school personnel.
* Provides written records of violations of the student code to the Transportation Supervisor.
* Reports disruptive students to the appropriate authorities where the child is enrolled.
* Collects and turns over to the transportation secretary those personal items left on the bus by students.
* Attends meetings as requested by the Transportation Supervisor.
* Completes all necessary forms as required and turns them in on time.
* Communication between school staff and parents.
* Follows all policies adopted by the Board of Education, and laws set forth by the local and state government.
* Other duties as may be directed by the Transportation Supervisor.
