Status: Full Time/40hr week

Summary:

Provides clean and sterile supplies and equipment through decontamination, preparation, sterilization, storage and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment utilizing infection control and safety practices during all phases of the process under the direction of a Unit Manager/Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Formal Education Required

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Ability to read and write English and follow oral and written instructions

Experience and Training Required

* Current HSPA or CBSP Certification or in an approved certification program. Be able to obtain certification within six months of hire date.

Other Skills and Qualifications

* Ability to work well within a team environment: by accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback; by supporting team goals and encouraging other team members; and by collaborating to consolidate work, solve problems, create new methods, and/or reduce costs.
* Ability to be self-directed in executing responsibilities within a team structure.
* Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time, frequent pushing, pulling, and cleaning equipment and materials.
* Knowledge of appropriate medical terminology for surgical applications.

Level of Physical Demands

* Medium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or ten to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
