As an OB Tech your responsibilities:

  • Primary roles include scrub for the operative cases, provide vaginal set-ups, attend deliveries,
  • Draw blood, perform newborn heel sticks for the 24 hours care, bathe babies,
  • Perform vital signs on adult patient, and transport patients to/from unit via wheelchair/stretcher.
  • Cross-trained to learn administrative secretary duties
  • Call is not required in this position

Qualifications:

  • EDUCATION - High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Certified Surgical Technology program preferred.
  • Must be on the IL Worker Registry as a CNA
  • Certified in CPR
