Required Education and Experience

Position Focus:

Reporting to and under the general supervision of Albert Sinusas, MD the Director of Yale Translational Research Imaging Center (Y-TRIC) and Stephanie Thorn, PhD the Associate Director of Y-TRIC. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Research Cardiac Imaging Technologist to join our team. This position will coordinate with staff and manager core imaging facilities and experimental protocols and provide an interface with collaborating investigators, IACUC and Radiation Safety staff, using discretion, sensitivity, and independent judgment. Participation in and performance of independent research related to active program in cardiovascular and translational imaging within Y-TRIC. Expertise in advanced multi-modality imaging, animal handling (rodent and non-rodent), surgery (optional), intraoperative and post-operative care. Include knowledge regarding use of pharmacotherapies in animals, and oversight of the use of ultrasound imaging systems and radiation generating equipment in laboratory.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

Advanced degree in biological sciences or biomedical engineering preferred. Hands on experience with ultrasound, SPECT/PET/CT imaging preferred.
