SUMMARY: Assist the Assistant Superintendent in conducting administrative duties so that he/she may devote maximum attention to the management of educational directives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicates and works positively and cooperatively with all staff.
Serves as a liaison between Assistant Superintendent and principals, Teacher On Special Assignment, mentors, specialists, parents and community members.
Maintains effective communication and follow up with appropriate departments and schools in the implementation of Educational Services and district programs.
Coordinates special projects to include development of timelines and appropriate procedures for the accomplishment of the task. Monitors progress of projects as needed.
Review curriculum.
Performs general secretarial services and uses equipment including, not limited to: computer with various forms of computer software, filing, copying, answering the telephone, making appointments, typing, sorting and distributing incoming mail and correspondence.
Coordinates meetings for the Assistant Superintendent with administrators, staff and parents as needed.
Orders and maintains sufficient inventory of office supplies and materials for the department.
Accurately prepares reports, correspondence, and printed documents.
Organizes and maintains accessibility of updated files, databases, and budgets.
Prepares requisitions and processes purchase orders according to district policies and Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR) accounting.
Assists in preparing program information for teachers, principal, administrators, Governing Board and the public.
Prepares correspondence independently, by dictation or from brief oral instruction.
Maintains records in an organized and efficient manner.
Establish and maintain professional rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors.
Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible administrative support and office management experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Demonstrated competency in computer literacy, Microsoft Word and Excel.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).
KNOWLEDGE OF:
Principles and practices of program administration and coordination.
Principles and applications of critical thinking and analysis.
Principles and methods of qualitative and quantitative research.
Basic budget administration.
Techniques and methods for organizing, prioritizing and monitoring work.

ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move object.

Working Conditions:
Work is routinely performed in an indoor, office environment.
