Responsibilities
The Division of Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is conducting a search for an early or mid-career academic medical oncologist with interest and expertise in head and neck cancers. This position offers opportunities for clinical research, and the ideal candidate would be committed to developing investigator-initiated, translational trials in patients with head and neck cancers. Our model of care involves a multi-disciplinary team (advanced practice provider, nurse, and oncologist), as well as specialists from Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery, Radiation Oncology, and supporting specialties including Dental, Speech and Swallowing, Radiology, Pathology, Palliative Care, Cancer Psychology, and Cancer Rehabilitation. Our unique patient-focused care model includes multidisciplinary head and neck cancer clinics and a collaborative clinical and research team. As Mayo Clinic is a comprehensive cancer center, our patients have access to extensive diagnostics and clinical trials, and this position provides opportunities for clinical trial involvement through cooperative group, investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored trials. Candidates should be board-certified/board-eligible in Medical Oncology. Compensation is competitive with other academic institutions, and benefits are comprehensive, including a relocation package.
