Responsibilities

You will:

* Provides direction and guidance. Develops and monitors contents of classroom training to ensure compliance. Teaches classes as required. Schedules and conducts re-cert and re-training.
* Provides leadership in developing, implementing, and managing company policies related to worker safety, driver safety, DOT compliance, and food safety.
* Investigates incidents, accidents, and work-related injuries including accident investigation, accident reports, accident files, accident register, and follows up with the claim's office and adjusters, as necessary.
* Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of hazard controls and related programs.
* Prepares and submits accident-related compliance forms, maintains files, or otherwise submits data to appropriate person or organization.
* Provides assistance and training to drivers and warehouse employees and other safety related issues.
* Performs driver road checks of driver performance (e.g., pre-trip; post-trip checks).
* Provides various reports and analyzes, including safety trends. Develops cost-saving recommendations. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
* Determines appropriate compliance and administrative forms/requirements and manages the location's safety program based on regulations and company policy.
* GMP compliance specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Familiarity with documentation management systems. Familiarity with Learning management and tracking systems. Write, revise, and track administrative and facilities related to SOP's and analytical procedures.
* May modify and deliver safety and driver training, either personally or through staff, based on company policy, region goals and location needs.
* May provide work direction to Driver Trainers/Instructors.
* Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of hazard controls and related programs.
* Develops and leads warehouse training on PIT equipment such as: Forklift, Reach, Order Picker, Electric Pallet Jack.
* May hire, train, and develop employees engaged in safety, driver training and/or compliance processes.
* Create a culture of safety excellence and effective risk management.

Qualifications

You have:

* 2 to 4 years of safety related experience in Transportation & Warehouse
* CDL preferred.
* Experience in Lytx and/or video-based technology.
* Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding safety and environmental issues
* Conduct Monthly Safety meetings must be comfortable speaking to large groups.
* Computer literate with working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
* Good verbal, written and relational communication skills, with ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels including drivers, customers, senior management, client representatives and public.
* Fluent in English, Spanish a plus +
* Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
* Possess a working vehicle to travel with in service area as needed.
* Strong understanding of current safety compliance regulations including strong technical knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA, HAZMAT, and Worker's Compensation
* Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and direction to all levels of the organization; ability to influence others to perform their jobs safely and create a culture of safety.
