Job Purpose:

The Laboratory Technician is responsible to perform comprehensive Quality Control analysis for both Ready to Press Powder (RTP) from Powder Production and Sintered product from the Insert Production facility, to ensure conformance to documented specifications. Powder & Inserts will be approved based on conformance to these written specifications and documented records and statistics will be kept. All activities must be carried out in a safe manner, following all company EHS guidelines, ensuring all legislation is met.

Responsibility includes:

* Receiving, testing, analyzing, recording, and reporting results of required tests.
* Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report.
* Recognizing unexpected errors or problems and performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory equipment.
* Maintain, clean, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.

Qualifications:

* Metallurgical and microscope skills preferred.
* Must be responsible, reliable, and able to work on own initiative.
* Must be pc literate, numerate with an excellent attention to detail.
* Must be team orientated.
* Good oral and verbal communication skills.
* Must be able to work assigned shift hours including overtime as scheduled.

Profile:

Requirement of High school diploma or equivalent GED

Must have a safety and quality mindset.
