Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Counselor provides intake assessment, diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, individual and group counseling and mental wellness programming. The individual will function as a member of the Counseling Center's leadership team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Manage a full case load of student referrals
* Coordinate care with internal referral resources
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the Counseling Center
* Serve as an on call resource at least two weeks out of the month
* SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
* Perform other duties as assigned by the leadership of the Fisk Counseling Center
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
* The candidate must be licensed within the state of Tennessee.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience with college students.
* Ability to manage multiple projects at once is key to this position's success.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:
No direct reports
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A master's degree in psychology (or related field) and applicable work experience is required.
Experience: 3+ years [or relevant level of years] related experience or equivalent role.
Licenses or Certificates: Licensed at the Master's Level in the State of Tennessee.
Additional Requirements: A background and/or credit check will be required of the successful applicant. An official transcript (if applicable) and names, addresses and phone numbers of three (3) references will be required of the successful applicant.
