Job Summary
+ The Sonographer is responsible for performing ultrasonic diagnostic procedures for patients as ordered.
+ Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting images.
+ Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Education and/or Experience
+ Graduation of formal ultrasound training program or equivalent approved by ARDMS; six months to one-year related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
+ One to two years of additional ultrasound experience/training preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
+ ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) credentialed or board eligible for RDMS credential after passing ARDMS physics boards.
