Sentara is hiring an experienced Medical Physicist for Sentara. This position will support Sentara Hospitals throughout Hampton Roads Virginia including:

* Princess Anne Hospital, Virginia Beach
* Virginia Beach General Hospital, Virginia Beach
* Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk
* Obici Hospital, Suffolk
* Careplex Hospital, Hampton
* Generous $25K sign on Bonus offered for qualified candidates

Relocation Packages available

Shift: Full Time Position

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master's Degree in Medical Physicists REQUIRED. PhD PREFERRED
* ABR/ABMP/CCPM Board Certification or Eligibility REQUIRED.
* Medical Physics Residents who are expecting to graduate this year are encouraged to apply.
* Experience in Stereotactic Radiotherapy and Radiosurgery, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy and Radiopharmaceutical procedures preferred.

Job Summary

Provide technical assistance in the development of treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy; monitor patients; maintain established policies, procedures, objectives, quality measurement, and safety; perform clinical research as required.

American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics certification preferred.

Qualifications:

MLD - Master's Level Degree: Medical Physics (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Diagnostic Medical Physics Certification - Certification - American Board of Radiology (ABR), Medical Health Physics (MHP) Certification - Certification - American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP)
