The Ideal Candidate for this Position

Responsibilities for this Position
* Checks guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established.
* Completes all guest transactions thoroughly.
* Promotes and sells special hotel programs.
* Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
* Must be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and resort policies.
* Maintains house bank.
* Communicates all pertinent information to the front office managers and supervisors.
* Follows set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits and refunds.
* Solicits guest feedback via guest comment cards.
* Cross-trains in PBX, concierge, and bell podium coverage.
* Performs other duties as reasonably requested by management.
Requirements
* Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* Must have basic knowledge of computers.
* Pleasant telephone demeanor.
* Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
* Must possess excellent communication skills.
* Must have ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
* Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
* Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Technical Requirements
* Must be able to read, write and speak English.
* Requires strong organizational skills.
* Must be able to work independently.
* Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
* Excellent people skills.
* Must meet grooming standards.
