As a Revenue and Technical Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations related to revenue recognition and accounting processes within the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate recording of revenues, compliance with accounting standards, and providing technical accounting insights recommendations to support strategic decision-making. This position will be located in our Londonderry, NH office on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities:

Revenue Recognition:

* Oversee the revenue recognition process according to the organization's policies and accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP).
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, operations, and legal to structure and simplify revenue contracts and to ensure proper documentation and recognition of revenue.
* Review contracts and agreements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
* Monitor and analyze revenue streams to identify any discrepancies or irregularities.

Accounting Management:

* Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Supervise and mentor revenue accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen internal controls and mitigate risks.
* Regularly review and update the accounting policies and memos to ensure their accuracy and efficiency.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

* Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal deadlines.
* Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis.

Audit and Compliance:

* Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
* Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and timely implementation.

Systems and Process Improvement:

* Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the revenue and accounting functions.
* Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
* Streamline workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
* Proven experience (>5 years) in revenue recognition, accounting, or financial management roles.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS).
* Experience with ERP systems and financial software (SAP a plus).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Prior experience in supervising or leading a team.
* Experience in a manufacturing business is a plus.
* Experience in deal-making processes is a plus.
