Position Description:

Public Health Analytics Course Director

The Institute for Health & Equity at the Medical College of Wisconsin invites applicants for a Public Health Analytics Course Director (or Co-Director) with its accredited, online Master of Public Health Program. Public Health Analytics is a 16-week course taught completely online during the spring semester (January - May). Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

* Doctoral degree
* Advanced data analytic skills
* Teaching experience at the graduate level
* Online instruction experience preferred

The course will address the following objectives and competencies, at a minimum, as defined by the Council on Education for Public Health:

MPH Foundational Public Health Knowledge Addressed

* Explain the role of quantitative and qualitative methods and sciences in describing and assessing a population's health.

MPH Foundational Competencies Addressed

* Select quantitative and qualitative data collection methods appropriate for a given public health context.
* Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using biostatistics, informatics, computer-based programming and software, as appropriate.
* Interpret results of data analysis for public health research, policy or practice.

By September 2022, the course director(s) will revise the existing Introduction to Biostatistics course syllabus to integrate more applied content related to identifying, analyzing, interpreting and communicating data. This position will require appointment with the Graduate School and payment is made on a per course basis.

The position is a Adjunct Assistant/Associate/Professor.
