Essential Duties

* Installation: Properly install and set up new boiler systems based on manufacturer specifications, local codes, and safety guidelines.
* Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on boilers to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes cleaning, inspecting, and testing boiler components, such as burners, heat exchangers, and safety devices.
* Repairs: Diagnose and resolve boiler malfunctions and issues promptly. Troubleshoot problems related to boiler operation, leaks, pressure loss, and other mechanical or electrical faults.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure that all boiler installations and maintenance adhere to safety standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary adjustments.
* Efficiency Enhancement: Identify opportunities to improve boiler efficiency and propose energy-saving solutions. Optimize combustion processes and heat transfers for better performance.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of boiler maintenance and repair activities, including service reports, parts inventory, and customer communication.
* Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers and clients to explain boiler issues, necessary repairs, and maintenance recommendations. Provide outstanding customer service and support.
* Emergency Response: Respond to emergency boiler breakdowns and perform urgent repairs to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
* Training: Train and mentor junior Technicians or boiler operators to enhance their knowledge and skills in boiler maintenance and operation.
* Compliance and Regulations: stay up to date with relevant codes, regulations, and industry best practices related to boiler operations, safety, and environmental standards.

Minimum Requirements

* Minimum of 3 years of relevant Boiler service & repair experience
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Proven work experience as a Boiler Technician or similar role
* In-depth knowledge of various types of boilers, their components, controls, and safety mechanisms.
* Strong understanding of combustion processes, heat transfers, and thermal dynamics.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics related to boilers.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for boiler maintenance and repairs.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks in confined spaces.
* Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Working as a Boiler Technician can be physically demanding and requires technical expertise to ensure safe and efficient boiler operation. Successful Boiler Technicians play a critical role in maintaining the functionality of heating systems and ensuring the safety of people and properties relying on these boilers.
