As a Host/Hostess at Sea Island, you deliver extraordinary guest experiences. You are a gracious ambassador for Sea Island with every interaction. You create and maintain an atmosphere of anticipatory service as you orchestrate the seamless flow of guests in and out of the restaurant and follow up daily regarding all reservation related items. In this leadership role, you live and share your passion for genuine hospitality in your commitment to enriching lives.

As a valued member of the Food and Beverage team, you lead the Host staff in executing exceptional experiences for all members and guests while working effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. You create effective floor charts, assigning sections daily and are responsible for door management and waitlist management for the restaurant. You are responsible for warmly welcoming guests as they approach and enter the dining room, recognizing and greeting guests by name when possible, and answering any questions guests may have about dining or Sea Island amenities. You promptly escort guests to their assigned tables for dining, assist with coat checks, issue menus, and ensure guests' comfort upon seating. You communicate effectively, answering incoming telephone calls with proper phone etiquette to make guest reservations, call to confirm guest reservations, and respond to guest emails regarding dining arrangements.

You form effective relationships and working closely with service staff and the Supervisor/Manager on duty. You also work directly with the outlet Manager for forecasting future reservation trends, and are actively involved in the promotion of the outlet to include working with Marketing and other departments.

Job Essentials:

* Consistently follow your team's processes and procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, and appearance, specifically in regard to grooming and uniform standards in compliance with applicable health regulations.
* Thoroughly check work and public areas for tidiness and any general maintenance items and ensure all are corrected or reported immediately.
* Maintain knowledge of Sea Island's properties, services, and offerings, and enthusiastically share this information with guests and members.
* Help resolve service issues in a timely and positive way, following up as needed.
* Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership.

Job Requirements:

* Previous service experience in a similar role or in fine dining is ideal
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Aptitude and ability to use restaurant computer software and reservations systems as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
