Introduction:

PALFINGER is looking for a forklift operator to take finished components from production and prepare them for storage, shipping or loading. We are located in Council Bluffs, IA and this position reports to Loading/Shipping Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

* This position will utilize a forklift on a daily basis.
* You will need to be skilled in the movement and placement of material in close spaces, precision splitting and stacking of a load, pallet, bundles, etc.
* Maintain productivity levels consistent with the need of the loading and shipping/receiving departments.
* Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED equivalent.
* Forklift experience.
* Ability to climb onto truck trailers for loading and inspection.
* Frequently lift 60 to 100 pounds.
* Have yard depth perception for placing items correctly.
* Mechanically inclined.
* A CDL license a plus.
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize work loads.
