Job Description
Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
Full-time, Days: 6:30 am - 7 pm
$10,000 Sign-on Bonus
$10,000 FOR STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENTS - FULL TIME
As a Respiratory Therapist at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, you'll join a team and be a part of a culture that's dedicated to providing top quality care to our patients. Requirements:
* Graduate of an Approved Respiratory Therapy Program with a Diploma or AAS Degree.
* Must be a graduate of an AMA approved certified program and have certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
* Licensed by the state of Georgia as a Respiratory Care Professional.
* Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
* Previous hospital respiratory care is preferred.
About the Job:
* Responsible for the administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care procedures necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, pulmonary rehabilitation, or diagnostic regime prescribed by a physician.
* The transcription and implementation of the written or verbal orders of a physician pertaining to the practice of respiratory care.
* Proper assessment, observation and monitoring of signs and symptoms, general behavior, and general physical response to respiratory care treatments and diagnostic testing.
* Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.
* Implement changes in treatment pursuant to the written or verbal orders of a physician.
* The ability to assess and initiate emergency procedures.
* Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery to achieve desired patient outcomes.
* Performs all other duties required.
