LOCATION OF POSITION: Monroe One BOCES - 41 O'Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450; District Wide

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: July 10, 2024 - August 20, 2024; Full & Part Time positions available. For all BOCES Programs Pre and Post summer trainings and set-up as directed.

Mandatory Summer Set-Up Meetings:

June 4th = Transition/Employment

June 5th = Creekside (BPA Unit + TES Staff) and eSTART

June 11th = O'Connor Academy

June 12th = Creekside (BUP Unit) and Bird/Morgan

SALARY RANGE: Your 2024-25 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff

DUTIES:

1. Maintain and coordinate ongoing communication and collaboration between educational, mental health, administrative and support staff.

2. Coach staff in proactive intervention techniques within the classroom and greater learning environment.

3. Contribute to program initiatives to further positive trauma informed practices, restorative practices, social, behavioral and educational supports.

4. Establish positive rapport with students, staff and administration.

5. Coach and guide staff when a student is in need of therapeutic support and intervention as well as restorative practices.

6. Assist in the collection of maintaining student support data and all other necessary documentation.

7. Coordinate and conduct debriefing sessions of incidents with staff and students.

8. Utilize effective preventative/intervention techniques to prevent occurrence, escalation or re-occurrence of crisis for individual and/or groups of students.

9. Utilize approved interventions to successfully prepare students to re-enter the classroom setting following a behavioral incident.

10. Actively participate in school, family, and team meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master's Degree from an accredited college required.

2. NYS Provisional or Permanent Certification or License in Social Work, School Psychology, or Special Education preferred.

3. A minimum of five years working with students with disabilities preferred.

4. Training in LSI intervention strategies.

5. Experience with trauma informed and restorative practices.

6. Required to complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.

7. Able to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations.

8. Working knowledge of New York State Standards.

9. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

9. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
