Description

Material Handling Inc. is a leading forklift service provider in the Southeast and we are looking to add to our Dalton, GA team. We are looking for an experienced Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to our customers in a safe, timely, efficient, and courteous manner. If you have a great attitude, strong leadership skills and a desire to deliver world class customer service then we want to talk to you. Since we are local, you'll be home every night.

Responsibilities include the following;

* Drop off and pickup equipment for customers
* Operate semi-truck and trailer consistent with DOT classification CDL-A
* Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and pallet jacks
* Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
* Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections
* Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
* May periodically work on material handling equipment in our shop
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

* Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
* High School Diploma or GED
* Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience
* Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
* Ability to frequently lift items up to 50 lbs.
* Basic knowledge of material handling equipment is a plus
* Knowledge of safe driving procedures and diligent attention to safety

Salary Description

$22.00 - $25.00 DOE
