M Health Fairview is looking for a Medication Scribe in the Emergency Department at our University of Minnesota Medical Center West Bank campus. This position is for a 0.7 FTE on the evening shift with 8 hour shifts and an every other weekend rotation. This position is responsible for gathering and detailing patient medical info into the EMR and assisting with other administrative tasks.

Responsibilities/Job Description

Job Expectations:

* Prepare current patient-specific medication list in accordance with department processes and procedures.
* Clarify obvious drug problems in the medication regimen.
* Optimally triage patients to provide an accurate medication list available for physician review, using all communication options available including e-mail, fax and direct patient or provider contact.
* Enter medications and allergies into patients' profiles as appropriate.
* Perform other administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

Two years of healthcare experience or experience working as an LPN, CMA, CNA and/or TMA and/or pharmacy experience.
