The Coordinator will also supervise and lead 3-4 junior team members, guiding their development and enhancing team performance. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Please Note: This position is a hybrid role, involving on-site work each week at our corporate headquarters in Concord, CA. Candidates who are fully remote or outside of reasonable commuting distance will not be considered at this time.

Responsibilities:

* Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
* Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments via check, electronic transfer, or other methods in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Vendor Management: Maintain vendor accounts, including reconciling statements, resolving discrepancies, and responding to vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
* Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals related to accounts payable.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including electronic and physical filing systems.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to accounts payable.
* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements within the accounts payable function.
* Reporting: Generate reports and provide analysis related to accounts payable as needed.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including procurement and finance, to resolve issues and improve processes.

Qualifications:

* Professional Experience and Education:
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable in a similar role.
* At least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, overseeing accounting professionals (highly preferred).
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
* Certification in Accounts Payable is a plus.


* Technical Skills:
* Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous.


* Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities:
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in processing invoices and payments.
* Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions.


* Organizational Skills:
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.


* Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
* Collaborative attitude and willingness to work closely with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.

The salary range for this position is expected to be $78,000/yr-$92,000/yr. Pet Food Express determines starting salary based on many factors, including but not limited to, local market rate, the qualified pool of candidates, internal compensation practices, a candidate's actual skills and experience.
