The State College Area School District is accepting applications for Substitute Secretaries for the 2024-25 school year. The district is searching for candidates who demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development and possess various professional experiences. The substitute secretary provides clerical office support in a school office or department. Organizational and collaborative skills are critical to success in these positions.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate departments or individuals.
  • Provide assistance to administrators, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Answer telephones and respond to inquiries via telephone or email.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including filing and photocopying.
  • Perform data entry, word processing, spreadsheet, and database functions as requested.
  • Operate a variety of office equipment.
  • Organize and distribute messages.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
