ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned

Documents/Reports

* Performs frequent routine safety checks on buildings, grounds, and equipment; files safety reports as required.
* Perform daily opening inspections.

Operational Excellence

* Receives and completes daily work orders as directed.
* Shoveling off the lift, laying down mats on tubing hills, hauling out tubes and inspecting them, testing tubing lanes and equipment, set up moveable terrain park components, hand-grooming the terrain park
* Daily maintenance of surface lift including preventive maintenance, repairs and snow and ice removal.
* Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions.
* Performs maintenance duties to the buildings, grounds, and equipment according to required specifications for safety and appearance.
* Performs routine cleaning of building, floors, windows, restrooms, carpets, trash removal, grounds, sidewalks, and trash pick-up
* Performs repairs to equipment, machinery, and vehicles as needed
* Performs preventive maintenance to equipment as assigned.
* Maintain and groom multi use trails and features and repair as needed for all seasons.
* Assists in snow production and grooming during snow park season.
* Effectively and safely operates Park District equipment including, and mowers, utility carts, Snow Dog and Snow Cat as required.
* Effectively and safely operates drills, string trimmers, landscape blowers, soil compactor and other hand tools as required to get the job done.
* Responsible for the opening and closing of the building on a daily basis.
* Act as Manager on Duty as needed.

Customer Satisfaction

* Provides quality customer service to all patrons, guests, and other District employees.
* Hosts private rentals as needed.

Teamwork

* Basic painting including picnic tables, trash cans and shelters
* Assists with delivery of supplies to various buildings

Compliance

* Ensures that all work performed is conducted in a safe and timely manner adhering to standards of cleanliness and effective equipment utilization.

Education/Experience

High School Diploma or GED

Critical Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Must be a minimum of 21 years old
* 3-5 years of maintenance experience, supervisory experience preferred
* Must be willing to work unusual hours, including evening private parties, weekends, and all holidays in a fast paced atmosphere.
* Valid Driver's license; Minimum of Class C
* Pesticide Applicators License (Within 6 months of employment)
* Basic understanding of use/maintenance of landscape equipment (blower, trimmer, mower, tractor, etc.)
* Ability to follow direction from Maintenance Supervisor
* Ability to problem solve in a variety of situations
* Ability to provide customers with expert care, sensitive consideration and efficient service.
* Good communication skills including expressive, written, and receptive.
* CPR and First Aid Certification (can be obtained through the Rockford Park District)
* Reliable transportation to and from work
