* Ensures that all functions/duties of assigned areas are consistently performed to or above Marietta Eye Clinic standards
* Administers comprehensive clinical education and development program - including technical skills, ophthalmic/medical knowledge and EHR protocols
* Provides individual and group instruction to new ophthalmic assistants, scribes and diagnostic technicians
* Works with existing clinical staff members to develop additional clinical skills required understand and perform on all diagnostic equipment.
* Ensures policies, procedures and protocols are understood by clinical services staff
* Evaluates clinical services staff skill levels through objective and subjective means
* Coordinates and participates with in-house continuing education programs for clinical services staff, and non-clinical staff when applicable and under the direction of Sr. Director, Patient & Team Operations and/or Sr. Manager, Clinical Services
* Continuously reviews the effectiveness of the educational program and suggests or proposes changes as appropriate
* Conducts productivity proficiency audits of current staff, as directed, via appropriate data gathering measures, such as time studies with EMR system, Sr. Manager, Clinical Services
* Manage relationships and onsite involvement/presence of external vendors, including but not limited to pharmaceutical and clinical equipment representatives
* Assist in and/or are responsible for mentoring, training, and assigned team members whose performance is below clinic standards and expectations.
* Assist with coordination of physicians/optometrists' workflow, as directed, and work collaboratively with the other Team Leads & Clinical Managers to coordinate staff resources based on skills, experience, and availability
* Ability to train on all ophthalmic equipment utilized by Marietta Eye Clinic
* Contribute to and/or perform clinical skills evaluations, coordinating with other members of Clinical Services management team.
* Responsible for supporting and assisting with assigned tasks/projects, including but not limited to: autoclave training and onboarding for new diagnostic technicians.
* Assigned ad hoc projects and/or tasks

Minimum Education Requirements

* HS Diploma/ GED

Minimum Background Requirements

* 1-2 years experience required

Minimum Demonstrated Skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook
* Proficiency in the utilization of ophthalmic technology and equipment
* Proficiency in the utilization of standard office technology and equipment, such as photocopiers
* Experience with EMR/EHR systems, preferably NextGen and Modernizing Medicine (EMA)

Physical Requirements:

* Must be in good mental and physical condition to withstand routine medium to high levels of stress and demands of a mentally and physically active position.
* Manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, adequate vision and hearing needed in daily work.
* Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
* Standing 90% of the time.
* Walking 40% of the time.
* Bending and stretching 20%
