Our offices are spacious and located in the Westlake district of Austin. We're looking for a warm, smart, friendly, highly competent psychologist (PsyD or PhD) to work with adults who are mostly high functioning on a variety of issues.

This is an exciting and unique professional opportunity-we are hiring immediately for part or full-time positions. You would be joining a collaborative multidisciplinary team, and mentored on a variety of integrative methods that may expand your professional repertoire. We employ the best of psychopharmacology along with healthy lifestyle changes, evidence-based supplements, the latest science of psychotherapy, and mind-body approaches to work collaboratively toward our patients' wellness.

Job Purpose: Ethos Wellness - Westlake Psychologist Team is responsible for providing a full range of therapy services to patients according to best practices and the latest science in the field. While we approach care from an evidence-based perspective, we are open to supportive and complementary approaches as they may be helpful. Your treatment focus would be on outpatient care for your clients and weekly or biweekly sessions. Duties also include collaboration with the multidisciplinary team at the wellness center.

Essential Duties:

Clinical Time
  • A minimum of 22 clients is expected a week for full time
  • Offering assessments (if desired)

Training Foundations
  • Individual Supervision - (if postdoctoral candidate)
  • Monthly staff meetings and office-wide trainings

Administrative work
  • Notes, consultation with shared providers, informal consultation, prep for sessions

Professional Development
  • Outside peer consultation groups/trainings
  • Working on Publications
  • Licensure applications/EPPP studying
  • Continuing education (CEUs offered at no additional cost)

Optional Focus

You have the option of gaining additional training in either group, couples, or another area of identified clinical or private-practice related interest, such as outreach.

    • Attend biweekly couples training lead by John Howard

Competencies:

Compensation:

Compensation is a split salary model similar to private practice, with a percent of collections constituting your compensation and the remaining percent collected by the practice to cover practice expenses, office space, administrative support, and healthcare benefits. You receive:

We get many referrals per week and our current providers are full, so you can expect a steady stream of referrals. We also work with select, high-paying insurance panels. Your client population would include a mix of self-pay clients and insurance clients. You can decide how much vacation to take, and when within reason.
