ASML US is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our US General Accounting team. As part of the general accounting team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, contributing to the end-to-end global financial processes of our organization. This position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team, part of an international, cutting-edge organization.
Role and responsibilities
Support the general accounting processes for US entities, ensuring month-end close procedures are timely completed and journal entries are posted with appropriate backup in accordance with GAAP.
Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, analyze general ledger monthly fluctuations and variances.
Manage the US benefit accounting process and partner with Tax Support colleagues on sales and use tax processes and add-to-earning processes.
Support check deposit processes
Collaborate with both global and regional stakeholders on end-to-end process flows. Drive stakeholder management with regional controllers and end business users.
Support the execution of SOX controls and provide expertise to overall internal control framework.
Drive process improvements and assist on special projects.
Comply and assist with internal and external audits by providing appropriate documentation and information, as requested.

Education and experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
CPA and/or Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Experience in public accounting and/or large multi-national corporations preferred.
Experience with SAP preferred.
Skills
Understanding of GAAP standards
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize and carry critical tasks and improvements to completion.
Ability to evaluate and streamline process improvements.
Work in a team environment and demonstrate ability to collaborate cross functionally.
Communicate professionally with colleagues around the US as well as internationally
Propensity to be a self-starter and results driven.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Excel
Other information
This position is located on-site in Enter Location, i.e. Chandler, AZ . It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, training courses and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration, and innovation.

Responsibilities
Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
May require travel (specify domestic and/or international) dependent on business needs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
