HomeTown Pharmacy is a privately owned chain of pharmacies across Michigan, Indiana and Ohio serving, retail, long term care, infusion and home health care supplies. The company is headquartered in New Era, MI currently providing services to 40 retail locations as well as five closed door pharmacies. The company is looking for an experienced IT professional to lead the IT Department and support IT applications/systems and be responsible for deployment.

Job Duties:
Establishes the strategic direction of the Company’s infrastructure information systems (IS); executes this strategy in collaboration with Company leadership.
Oversee technical projects in alignment with organizational goals.
Directs and manages the effective delivery of network services, applications, disaster recovery systems, data security and processes.
Develop internal policies and procedures including those related to auditing and compliance.
Develop IT hardware and software standards and sources of supply.
Coordinate with and direct information engineers to find solutions to manage business activities.
Supervise and develop a team of IT professionals, while working closely with all departments.
Prepare departmental financial budget in collaboration with the executive team; ability to maximize resources and manage capacity
Identifies and recommends new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; reviews requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization.
Approves the purchase, license, or other acquisition of hardware, software, or services needed to meet company needs.
Maintains pace with technological progress, economic change, and Company needs by directing continual improvements of IS staff, equipment, and procedures
Ensure continuous data security measures are in place throughout the business and tested to reduce risk.
Develop integrations for sharing medical information within the infrastructure tools and plans.
Manage IT contracts and vendor relationships.
Monitor information technology performance and recommend improvements
Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Information Technology Management.
3-5 years' experience in healthcare related Information Technology.
2-3 years of management experience.
Ability to think critically and develop strategic solutions that align to business objectives.
Experience with eCommerce and website management
Direct supervision of staff and outsourced vendors or contractors
Work effectively in a team environment.
Experience working with healthcare and transaction technologies.
Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly master technology used in the organization.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
A comprehensive understanding of HIPAA and PHI requirements
Demonstrated organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail is required.
Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field or in Business Administration with an IT emphasis.
