We are looking for a full-time qualified *Pediatric* *Dental Assistant *to join our premier dental practice in Merrillville and Chesterton, IN*. *The right applicant will have experience preparing general dentistry patients, ensuring that they are comfortable and offering another set of hands for procedures. Assistants must help Dentists to clearly see problems and changes within a patient's mouth. This often requires taking x-rays of the bone structure of a patient's jaw, as well as taking photographs of the teeth.

*Children's Dental Center 7863 Broadway Suite 111 Merrillville, IN 46410*

Monday - Wednesday 7:30am - 5pm

*All About Kids Dental Care 1495 Pope Court Chesterton, IN 46304*

Thursday 12pm - 5pm and Friday 7:30am - 2pm

*Responsibilities*
* Help Dentists prepare for procedures by having the necessary tools sterilized and in place
* Help keep a patient’s mouth clean and dry during procedures and hand Dentists the necessary tools at the appropriate time
* Patient education; explain procedures and discuss treatment progress and plans
* This position will include all aspects of clinical dental care

*Requirements*
* Dental X-Ray Certificate in Indiana Required
* Previous dental chairside assisting is preferred
* Coronal Polishing & Pit/Fissure Sealants Certifications Required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Experience:
* Dental assisting: 1 year (Required)
* Open Dental software: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
* X-Ray Certification for State of Indiana (Preferred)
* Coronal Polish Certificate for State of Indiana (Preferred)
