Mighty Distributing System of America (MDSA), a franchisor of sales and services in aftermarket auto parts, is looking for an enthusiastic associate to join our team at our national distribution center - Mighty Product Center (MPC), in Jackson, Tennessee. MPC supports 100+ U.S. distributors in 45 states, five international master distributors, and local professional installers.

General Responsibilities/Job Summary

MDSA seeks an energetic New Business Development Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter with a "hunter" mentality and proven success in identifying and qualifying new customer prospects, successfully developing relationships while maintaining current accounts. Experience with LTL, agriculture, and the lubricant industries is a plus but not required. At Mighty, we deliver more than just parts. We effectively manage the inventory of professional installers so they can spend more time servicing their customers and running their businesses. Our proven programs have helped us build a successful business model that makes it easy for our customers to see the value that we provide to them.

Job Description:

  • Grow and maintain existing customer accounts on a daily sales route
  • Prospect and develop new sales opportunities
  • Plan account and territory strategies to achieve specific sales growth objectives
  • Work in an advisory role with customers to create programs that result in upgrade opportunities and new product lines being added.
  • Train and educate customers on preventive maintenance programs and new products.
  • An individual who wants their compensation to reflect the results that they deliver with no caps
  • Some travel is required. Trip incentives are available for those who qualify
Qualifications:
  • Previous in-person B2B sales experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience or comparable experience in the automotive aftermarket, LTL, Heavy Duty, Agriculture, or Lubricants industries
  • Consistent follow up
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid Drivers Licences - Company vehicle provided
  • Strong personal desire to achieve desired results
  • Must pass a drug screen, background checks, and MVR check
  • Ability to perform heavy physical work, exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 30 lbs. constantly, performing such activities as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, feeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping.
