Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager Logistics leads the execution of the HealthTrust Freight Management (HT FM) Program, ensuring efficient logistics operations for member organizations. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage all modes of transportation shipments, streamline processes, and optimize transportation spend. This role is integral in supporting members in defining their logistics needs, overseeing operational compliance, and driving cost savings

What you will do in this role includes:

  • Strategically oversee the implementation and management of the HT FM Program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and member expectations
  • Lead initial engagements with members to articulate the strategic advantages of the self-managed freight program, emphasizing enhanced cost efficiency and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with members to conduct comprehensive assessments of all vendors and facilities to integrate into the freight management framework
  • Develop and execute comprehensive launch strategies, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition to a unified small parcel account number
  • Direct the freight audit process, ensuring rigorous validation of shipments and ongoing optimization to achieve maximum cost savings and operational effectiveness
  • Generate and analyze detailed monthly billing reports, presenting insights to members that highlight shipping costs, vendor performance metrics, and potential savings opportunities
  • Facilitate quarterly strategic reviews and annual analyses with members, proactively identifying shifts in contract utilization to uncover further cost-saving avenues
  • Collaborate closely with accounts payable teams within member organizations to ensure effective integration of freight billing and payment processes, enhancing operational efficiency

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • 5-10 years of experience in logistics management, with a focus on freight operations across multiple locations Required
