Job Title: Controls EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an individual to join a dynamic team as a Controls Engineer based in Middletown, Ohio. The Controls Engineer will be essential in ensuring the seamless operation of machinery by maintaining and troubleshooting control systems, PLCs, and related equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial automation systems and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.Duties will include:- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on control systems, PLCs, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues using schematics, diagrams, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.- Program, configure, and modify PLCs and other control devices to support production requirements and process improvements.- Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Supervisors to implement new control strategies, upgrades, and enhancements to existing systems.- Conduct calibration and testing of instrumentation and sensors to maintain accuracy and compliance with quality standards.- Participate in equipment installations, commissioning, and startup activities, ensuring proper functionality and integration with existing systems.- Accurately document maintenance activities, equipment configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.Hard SkillsStrong knowledge of PLC's (Allen-Bradley or Siemens)Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field2+ years' experience in industrial controls maintenanceExperience in a manufacturing environmentProficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical automationWork SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Middletown, Ohio.Work EnvironmentFast-paced environment, requiring adaptation to continuous changes in company, customer, and people needs.
