SUMMARY

The Associate Manager Cost Optimization will be responsible for executing cost optimization opportunities within Prepared Foods. Through close collaboration with R&D, Plant Locations, Supply Chain and Finance, this role will develop implementation schedule and liaise with business teams to obtain alignment and drive project execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop the business case and financial justification for cost savings project opportunities
  • Manage Prepared cost savings intake approach and align on priorities with Business Unit Category Management partners
  • End to end owner of assigned projects including gate reviews, scope development, P&L execution, and savings capture
  • Manage typical workload of 25-30 cost savings projects
  • Maintain project tracking tools to ensure planned savings are accurate
  • Support pipeline development of cost savings projects


REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree required preferably in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or Finance.

Experience: 2 years project management experience in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, continuous improvement, or related field required. Experience in Food or CPG industry is a plus.

Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Excel, NPD and PowerPoint

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Ability to effectively engage people at all levels of the organization.

Special Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate and summarize process insights and complex data into actionable recommendations. Experience leading cross-functional teams. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
