POSITION SUMMARY:

Under supervision of the VP of HR, performs administrative duties following established procedures in administering the Y's associate programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, flexible spending, group life, retirement and all other fringe benefit plans. Carries out all work in a professional manner and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Additionally, serves as a liaison and resource to Association-wide staff members and members of the larger community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.
  • Assist in development of ongoing communication tools to enhance understanding of company benefits.
  • Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration.
  • Document and maintain administrative standard operating procedures for benefits processes.
  • Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulation. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
  • Administer various associate benefits programs such as group health, FSA, dental, vision, life, disability, leave of absence programs, wellness, etc.
  • Gather monthly carrier billings, properly code and audit for accuracy.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims with third-party administrator. Follow-up on claims.
  • Assist VP in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of plans that benefit company.
  • Prepare for meetings with associates to obtain information and understand benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required associate notices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
