This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high-quality finish for both interior and exterior projects. The ideal candidate has experience with various painting techniques, is knowledgeable about different paint types, and understands safety procedures.Key Responsibilities:Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and removing old paint to ensure proper paint adhesion.Painting Application: Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces, using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.Detail Work: Execute detailed work, including trim, molding, and other areas requiring precision.Job Site Setup and Cleanup: Set up and organize job sites for efficient work and clean up after each job to leave a tidy workspace.Quality Assurance: Inspect surfaces to ensure an even, professional finish and make any necessary touch-ups or adjustments.Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment, including the proper handling of paint materials and equipment.Core Competencies:Strong attention to detail and precisionAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood physical stamina, as the role involves standing, climbing, and liftingExcellent time-management skills to complete jobs efficientlyQualifications:Proven experience as a painter with both interior and exterior projectsFamiliarity with various types of paint, tools, and techniquesKnowledge of safety procedures and proper handling of hazardous materialsHigh school diploma or equivalent; trade certification or apprenticeship is a plusResponsibilities:Preparing surfaces (cleaning, sanding, priming)Applying paint with precision and careEnsuring high-quality finish and detail workMaintaining a clean and organized job siteAdhering to project timelines and completing jobs within deadlinesStorm Guard is seeking competitive, motivated and goal oriented individuals to join our family.
