Shift Availability: Open availability (Day, Night, Weekends, Holidays)Required Credentials: Armed PILB Work Card, CPR/AED Card, Alcohol Awareness Card Position Overview:The Shift Supervisor is a key leadership role within a high-energy, fast-paced security environment. The Supervisor will oversee and manage a team of security personnel, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of security services for the assigned account. This role requires excellent communication, decision-making, and leadership skills to maintain a secure and safe environment for both employees and clients. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Supervision: 
  • Supervise, lead, and motivate a team of security officers during assigned shifts. 
  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance evaluations. 
  • Maintain high levels of employee engagement and morale. 
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and provide scheduling support to meet operational needs.

Security Operations Management:
  •  Oversee daily security operations, ensuring adherence to security protocols and client specifications. 
  • Conduct regular security patrols and ensure officers are meeting or exceeding performance standards.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or security breaches, providing leadership and guidance to resolve situations effectively.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment.

Communication & Reporting:
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the client and the security team during the shift. 
  • Maintain detailed logs and accurate records of incidents, shift activities, and personnel performance. 
  • Communicate effectively with clients, management, and staff, providing updates on security status and incident resolution. 
  • Complete and submit all required reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Operational Support:
  • Assist in developing and implementing operational plans to enhance security effectiveness. 
  • Ensure all security equipment is in working order and available for use during shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and legal requirements, including workplace safety and security policies.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for improvement within the security program and provide recommendations to management. 
  • Support ongoing training and professional development for team members. 
 Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a security or supervisory role, preferably within a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team of security officers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment while maintaining professionalism and calmness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Open availability, including the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Basic knowledge of security systems, protocols, and technology to include SilverTrac, TrackTik, TrackShift, and MS Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods of time.
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations and manage security incidents.
