Role Description:
Compensation OTE - $175,000 to $250,000 Annually As a senior sales person (player/coach) your role is pivotal in generating new lines of business with a primary focus on developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies to enhance market presence and penetrate new markets. You will carry an annual quota of around 800K-1M depending on your level of experience and comp package.
Territory: US/Canada
New Business Development:
Identify, target, and engage potential clients with a focus on Mid Market companies (500-5000 Employees)
Proven Track Record:
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success with business products and software services companies that specialize in Human Resources solutions. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have excelled at selling workforce and talent management solutions across HR, IT, and finance departments.
The best candidates will be able to leverage a rolodex of industry contacts, research, and networks to discover and create opportunities that convert to ‘closed won’.
Sales Strategies:
Actively participate in the development and refinement of sales strategies like MEDDIC/MEDPIC, Challenger, and Solution based Sales approaches to improve overall sales effectiveness. The best candidates will use data to inform all decisions that support Engagedly’s commercial and product roadmap.
Ownership of Sales Cycle:
You will successfully and confidently manage the end-to-end sales process for each account, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure, with a focus on shortening the sales cycle.
Demonstrated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Achieve $1.2M+ in annual revenue and consistently exceeded quota
- Close 3-5 deals per quarter.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of high-value accounts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with C-level executives.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, ability to influence, build consensus and close business; you know how to use ‘closed won’ to generate ‘new business’
- Self-Motivated: Highly driven with exceptional work ethic and the ability to work independently, a strong desire to be ‘the best’ at what you do
- Success Indicator: Secure $800K to 1 M or more in new business within the first 12 months by closing deals with clients > $50K/year.
- Action Plan: Develop and execute strategic account plans, identify high-potential prospects, and maintain a robust pipeline to ensure consistent deal flow.
- Identify and Develop High-Value Accounts
- Success Indicator: Identify and target 15-20 high-value accounts each quarter, resulting in at least 2-3 large-scale deals and 3-5 mid-scale per quarter.
- Action Plan: Leverage industry contacts, research, and networking to discover opportunities within Fortune 1000 companies. Use consultative selling techniques to understand client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Manage the Entire Sales Cycle
- Success Indicator: Successfully manage the end-to-end sales process for each account, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure, with a focus on shortening the sales cycle.
- Action Plan: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product, and customer success teams, to ensure seamless communication and delivery of solutions.
- Build and Maintain C-Level Relationships
- Success Indicator: Establish and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers within target accounts, leading to deeper engagement and upsell opportunities.
- Action Plan: Regularly engage with senior leaders through meetings, presentations, and events, demonstrating deep knowledge of their business challenges and how our HR Tech solutions can address them.
- Accurately Forecast and Report on Sales Activities
- Success Indicator: Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports on a weekly and monthly basis, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Action Plan: Utilize CRM tools to track and manage all sales activities, ensuring transparency and accountability in the sales process.
- Contribute to Strategic Sales Initiatives
- Success Indicator: Actively participate in the development and refinement of sales strategies, offering insights and feedback from the field to improve overall sales effectiveness.
- Action Plan: Collaborate with the sales leadership team to refine targeting strategies, pricing models, and sales collateral based on market trends and customer feedback.
