We Offer:
  • Full-time employees work 36-38 hours weekly, typically 4, 9-hour shifts with flex time available for up to 40 hours. Flex-time is available to work on CE or other individual assignments without having to work overtime.
  • FVH is closed on weekends and major holidays. No late nights or on-call hours.
  • Competitive wage scale, currently $21.50 to $33.50/hr for LVTs. We furnish a higher wage scale for a VTS certification or for leadership/management experience. Automatic pay scale advancement each employment anniversary, and wage scales are updated annually.
  • Review opportunities provided annually to celebrate your strengths and identify areas of development. We provide regular check-ins with the management team, and an open-door communication policy to make sure all employees feel heard. Our goal is for each of our employees to continue to grow in this industry.
  • 75% premium paid health, dental and vision insurance, currently a gold level Kaiser plan.
  • Uniforms provided upon successful completion of introductory period, and additional uniform allowance provided annually.
  • State licensing fees and professional dues paid for LVTs.
  • LVTs receive $850 yearly CE (may aggregate over multiple years to attend national meetings).
  • Fear Free certification paid.
  • Generous PTO accrual with a balance that can carry over yearly to a maximum of 160 hours to pursue your life adventures. 5 additional paid holidays off, paid day off for your birthday, and unpaid/flex days off.

You have:
  • WA State LVT licensure current or easily obtained at time of hire.
  • Previous work experience at a veterinary facility.
  • Dedication to ensuring each patient and client is treated with the highest level of compassion and care.
  • A passion for providing Fear Free care and an interest in animal behavior.
  • Basic skills and comfort using phones, computers, emailing, texting, and using veterinary practice-management software. We are very paper-light and currently use AVImark.
  • Emotional intelligence and a willingness to continually develop communication skills.

  • Professionalism, even in the less-than perfect moments of vet med.
