Job Title: Automotive Technician III with Continuous Opportunities for Growth
A Day in the Life as an Automotive Technician III: 
  • The role of the Automotive Technician III involves performing advanced diagnostic tests and repairs on vehicles. 
  • They are responsible for troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, utilizing specialized tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems efficiently. Additionally, Automotive Technicians III may also be involved in conducting routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. 
  • Must possess a deep understanding of automotive systems and components, staying up to date with the latest technological advancements in the industry. 
  • The Automotive Tech III’s expertise allows them to provide accurate recommendations and guidance to customers regarding necessary repairs and maintenance for their vehicles. 
  • The Auto Tech III maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles. Identify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment. Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly. Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined. 
  • Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires. 
  • Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings. Disassemble and reassemble parts. 
  • Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective. Write repair orders. Close repair orders. 
  • Manage administrative duties. Order and receive parts.
