Key Position Points: Position: Portable Toilet Technician Location: Montpelier, VTRequirements: Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practices in accordance with WRE and DOT requirements.
- Prepare for each service job to maximize efficiency (get truck ready, tools, etc.) by following daily pre-trip and post-trip maintenance (check fluids, tires, supplies).
- Perform customer service interaction when on work site to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Must have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident.
- Perform daily pre and post trip vehicle inspections.
- Complete all required paperwork.
- Load and unload vehicle.
- Follow all Wind River Environmental service protocols other duties as assigned by management.
- Assists with a variety of manual labor tasks as needed.
- Physical stamina to work in all weather conditions and to execute extensive digging and probing on job sites.
- You are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and non-hazardous fumes.
- Must be comfortable working independently.
- Interaction with customers.
- Ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to read and interpret documents including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and road signs.
- Ability to speak, cooperate and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management.
- Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy including email and internet skills.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Attention to details and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to successfully pass DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam, and road exams.
- Must be able to meet physical demands evaluation.
