Laboratory Technician

About us:
We are a small research group with NIH, intramural, and extramural industry funding to study the visual control of eye growth and the development of myopia. In particular, we are interested in understanding why eyes become myopic (nearsighted) and developing approaches to control it.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or previous experience as a laboratory technician.
- General interest in working in a vision research laboratory, ability to work independently after training, as well as exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required.
- Experience in neuroscience or vision science, computers and electronics, data management, and wet lab techniques is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work closely with other lab members, Reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential.

This position is funded through the Research Foundation of the State University of New York. The Annual Salary range is $45 to 60K, and there is also a generous benefit package.
