POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The primary role of the Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is to act as the principle Iconex representative ensuring the highest level of customer service to accounts. The SAM will be accountable for the relationship management of the assigned customer base and ensure that all customer requirements are identified and met. Additionally, SAMs will drive new business in new Iconex accounts within an assigned geographic territory. This position requires strong relationship management, sales support, and account maintenance/management skills in order to ensure a high level of customer delight and work to maximize revenue and profitability within assigned accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Obtains customer or industry information that assists in responding to customer's needs and requirements.
  • Recognize the customer's key challenges in their business operations and identifies products and solutions to the customer's area of need.
  • Identifies new opportunities with current accounts in order to grow revenue and profitability.
  • Tracks the sales process through monthly forecast submissions for assigned accounts.
  • Has primary accountability for ensuring that assigned accounts are being properly serviced in a manner that reflects the Iconex commitment to delivering high quality products and services.
  • Responds to customer needs as problems or issues related to product quality, delivery or inventory levels arise, but also looks for opportunities in which he/she can provide added value beyond the scope of the product in assigned accounts
  • Position Iconex as a single source provider offering additional solutions and services to maximize revenue and profitable growth within assigned accounts.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Confidence, presentation and negotiation skills needed to interact effectively with senior management, key customers and partners in both selling and problem-resolution scenarios.
  • Travel Requirement: 30 – 50% travel expected based on an estimated 250 annual work days.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BA/BS in Business or Related Area.
  • 3+ years of successful Sales Account Management experience.
