Human Resource Dimensions has been retained to place a Director of Facilities for a growing client in the financial services industry located in Duluth, GA. 

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for administering and overseeing the principles and guidelines for facility planning, security, design and construction. Ensures accurate facility cost projections and facility compliance with legal requirements and other regulations, including ADA and OSHA. 
  • Collaborates with executive management to lead the development and implementation of strategic real estate planning and implementation.
  • Establishes the scope of work and deliverables expected for all facility and physical security related projects.
  • Coordinates the efforts of a Facility Manager that is responsible for the day-to-day management of branch facilities. This includes overseeing maintenance and cleaning of all facilities and related vendor relationships.
  • Oversees building and land acquisitions, sales and lease transactions including tracking and timely negotiation of lease renewals. Renegotiates lease agreements as needed. Plans and schedules project timelines.  This includes managing multiple construction projects simultaneously ensuring timely completion.
  • Oversees outstanding leases and negotiates lease terms and ensures compliance with lease terms.
  • Develops and manages annual facilities budget and assists with department/branch budgets as they relate to facilities and security. Recommends cost and time saving solutions regarding maintenance operations and supply orders.
  • Oversees Security Officer fire/safety protection, building automation and business continuity planning with regard to access and protection of physical locations.
  • Coordinates with brokers, architects, attorneys and general contractors during various construction projects.
  • Oversees the Security Officer to establish and maintain security systems and manages contracts with security vendors for all locations including negotiations with vendors and designing formal security layouts at new sites to ensure proper standards.
  • Oversees the overall fire, life and safety related training including fire evacuation programs, emergency response plan for corporate office personnel and health and safety programs
  • Oversees supply management structure for the Credit Union including management of vendor relationship, software management and procurement.
  • Member of Business Continuity Management team. Takes an active role overseeing building related issues and health and safety management.
  • Maintains and prioritizes multiple projects with minimal supervision. 
  • Manages and coordinates internal resources, contracted resources and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of the Facilities function.
  • Works directly with local and state governmental authorities to ensure compliance with applicable codes, ordinances and regulations.
  • Manages the fleet function for the upkeep of company vehicles.
  • Represents the Credit Union on issues related to property owners’ associations (POA’s) and homeowners’ associations (HOA’s).
  • Promotes and establishes strong, positive and productive working relationships within the organization through commitment to the company’s purpose, mission and core values.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • 10-12 years of experience with a combination of experience in facilities management, real estate and security.  
  • Experience managing multiple retail/public facilities preferred
  • Understanding of legal and compliance requirements related to financial center maintenance and security.
  • Experience managing budgets along with financial and contractual aptitudes.
  • Experience in managing multiple ongoing facilities projects including construction and remodeling.
  • Works well as a member of a group. Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
