Job Title: Part-Time Sauté Chef

Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-Time AM and PM Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This position involves overseeing the preparation of soups, and sandwiches, prep, and ensuring the efficient operation of the kitchen for a fine dining restaurant during designated shifts. As well as in the evening preparing our 5-star Supper Club dishes. We are looking for someone with experience in the kitchen, as well as someone who takes pride in their cooking. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We would also love to cross-train you to work in the evening as well and float when needed.

Shifts are flexible, we are looking for someone W-F from 9 am-3 pm and TH-SAT 3 pm-11 pm

Responsibilities:Preparation and Cooking:
  • Execute the preparation and cooking of soups, and sandwiches and ensure high-quality standards and adherence to recipes.
  • Prep ingredients to perfection, showcasing culinary skills and creativity while making homemade soup.
  • Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion control.
Prep Station Management:
  • Set up and organized the prep station for the next shift, ensuring a smooth transition between culinary teams.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate and prioritize tasks during peak hours.
  • Rotate closing shifts with the cold prep cook, ensuring fairness.
Inventory Management:
  • Conduct weekly inventory checks on Fridays to monitor stock levels and prevent shortages.
  • Responsible for the proper storage and organization of ingredients.
  • Put away deliveries on designated days, with a focus on accountability and accuracy.
Truck Management:
  • Receive and organize deliveries, specifically putting away the truck on Wednesdays.
  • Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients, promptly addressing any discrepancies or issues.
Specialty Prep:
  • Prepare specialty items according to established recipes.
  • Handle the prep work for noodles, ensuring they are cooked to perfection and readily available for service.
Potential for moving up into management. 
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a line cook or chef, with a focus on pasta and sautéing.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen procedures, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.

Schedule:
  • Part-time position and potential for full-time
  • Wednesday to Saturday.
  • AM shift 9:00 am to 3:00 PM.
  • PM shift - 3 PM-11 PM
