Scientific Proposal Writer/Manager

Responsibilities include:
- Organize, delegate, and prioritize proposal efforts among Natural Resource staff.
- Work with the Business Development Team to secure proposal opportunities.
- Preparation of project specifications and bid documents including technical scopes of work and costing for review by technical staff.
- Prepare large Master Services Agreement Proposals and Statement of Qualifications Packages tailored to client needs.
- Submittal of proposals and technical reports following approval by management.
- Assist in editing of technical proposals and reports.
- Demonstrate the ability to complete concurrent assignments in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and stay on schedule.
- Travel is minimal but candidate should have the ability to periodically have in person meetings and attend conferences as needed.
- Develop and submit project reports and proposals to various agencies and entities, including budget and schedule development.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients, employees, and subcontractors.
- Other duties as assigned or required.

- B.S. degree in natural science field of study.
- 5+ years technical writing and consulting experience.
- Excellent technical report writing skills.
- Preferred candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, and be self-motivated, thorough, and detailed in their work.
- Preferred experience of working with authoring tools and related software including Microsoft Office
- Ability to produce accurate, professional, and error-free documents in a timely manner.
- Valid driver license.
- Experience publishing biological or ecological journal articles.
- Regulatory agency interaction and coordination.
- Familiarity with scientific and field survey protocols.
- Additional background in wetlands, fisheries, endangered species, GIS, or other EnviroScience services.
- Project and/or client management.
