Are you an expert in designing and optimizing cloud-based networks that ensure seamless connectivity and high performance? Do you have the technical skills to architect secure, scalable, and efficient cloud network infrastructures that support mission-critical applications? If you’re ready to take on the challenge of building and managing advanced cloud network systems, our client has the ideal role for you. We’re looking for a Network Cloud Engineer (aka The Connectivity Architect) to create and manage robust cloud network solutions that align with business needs and support growth.

As a Network Cloud Engineer at our client, you’ll collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps teams, and security specialists to design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructures in cloud environments. Your role will be vital in ensuring high availability, security, and performance across cloud systems while optimizing network operations for cost and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Deploy Cloud Network Architectures: Architect and implement network solutions in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability. You’ll manage virtual networks, subnets, routing, and peering configurations.
  2. Ensure Network Security and Compliance: Implement security protocols such as firewalls, VPNs, and access controls to protect cloud network infrastructures. You’ll maintain compliance with industry regulations and best practices for data protection and cybersecurity.
  3. Optimize Network Performance and Reliability: Monitor and optimize network traffic, latency, and load balancing to enhance performance. You’ll troubleshoot network issues and proactively manage resources to maintain uninterrupted service.
  4. Manage Connectivity Solutions: Implement solutions for hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including site-to-site VPNs, Direct Connect, and ExpressRoute. You’ll ensure seamless connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud services.
  5. Collaborate on Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to create reproducible and version-controlled network configurations. You’ll contribute to automating deployments and managing network changes efficiently.
  6. Develop and Maintain Documentation: Create detailed documentation for network configurations, policies, and best practices. You’ll provide resources that support troubleshooting, onboarding, and future network expansion.
  7. Stay Updated on Cloud Networking Trends: Keep abreast of new networking technologies, cloud updates, and best practices. You’ll integrate innovative solutions that improve network performance and security.

Required Skills:

  • Cloud Networking Expertise: Extensive experience with cloud networking in major platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), including services such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Load Balancers, and network security groups.
  • Network Security Knowledge: Familiarity with implementing firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices to protect cloud networks. You can configure secure connections and manage network compliance.
  • Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve network performance issues using monitoring tools and techniques. You’re skilled at optimizing network traffic and minimizing latency.
  • IaC Proficiency: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate and manage network configurations.
  • Communication and Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with DevOps, cloud architects, and security teams to ensure network solutions align with business goals. You’re skilled at explaining complex networking concepts clearly.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in cloud networking or infrastructure may be considered.
  • Certifications in cloud networking (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Network Engineer) are highly desirable.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3+ years specializing in cloud-based networks.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud connectivity solutions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools and platforms to maintain optimal network performance.
