Our well-established client, a leading commercial construction company, is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join their growing team.


As the Project Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining complex and accurate project financial records, ensuring proper internal and external reporting of all financial transactions. This is a full-time, on-site position with a competitive annual salary range starting at $70,000.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and review accurate monthly financial reports, including owner and subcontractor pay applications
  • Coordinate closely with operations and estimating teams to establish project budgets and ensure contract compliance
  • Manage the accounts receivable process and resolve any client payment issues
  • Maintain data integrity between Procore and Viewpoint Vista construction management systems
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and provide full support during financial audits
  • Process project invoices and resolve queries with the Accounts Payable team
  • Complete special projects and stay up-to-date on industry best practices

Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in construction accounting or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a comparable discipline (preferred)
  • Proficiency with AIA billing and working knowledge of prevailing wage requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to multitask effectively
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate cross-functionally
